California Family Pet Expo in San Mateo, September 26-28th

Subject: Fins, Feathers & Fur at the Pet Expo
Category: Tails of the City
Join the Woof Reporters and the world’s biggest and smallest dogs for a weekend of fur, feathers, fins and fun. It’s the California Family Pet Expo, of course. Check it out!
Like a dog county fair, The Family Pet Expo packs a line-up you can’t stand to miss. Check out performances by Kyra Sundance and her Weimaraner Chalcy, and local police dogs. Take a seminar on pet grooming, watch a pet fashion show or shop for unique items for every kind of pet. Then pop in on the world’s largest two-toed sloth, a 100-plus pound tortoise, even a huge tarantula as part of Animal Magic’s display and education on exotic animals.
Then, meet the canine Guinness Book of World Record holders in the fur. Get a photo with Gibson, the great dane on paw to hang with his fans after winning the World’s Tallest Dog category and a guest appearance on Oprah, Ellen, Leno, the list goes on. Then, just for symmetry, get a load of Boo Boo. You guessed it, this teeny little pup is a Guinness darling too, the world’s smallest dog on record.
It gets better yet. Not only will you meet the Woof Reporters, but possibly a new furry friend from the animal rescue group adoptions. With so many animals at the show, your pooch must stay home – but you’ll make up for it with the free food samples on hand to bring home to your own beloved Family Pet.
