Bay Area Film Night in the Park

Bay Area Film Night in the Park

Need a date for the movies? That’s one of the hidden benefits of having a dog. Just pack a picnic and your pup and head out to the Bay Area Film Night in the Park. It’s a night at the movies, minus the theatre (so doggies can come). And your date won’t talk during the best parts.

Bay Area Film Night is just another reason to stay in Northern California forever. Offering free flicks in eight beautiful parks all around the bay, it’s outdoor living at its best. Catch a show at Mill Valley’s Old Mill Park or San Anselmo’s Creek Park. Or movie hop around the city at Dolores Park or Washington Square to see the classics, Academy Award winners, and cult favorites. This year's line up includes O Brother, Where Art Thou, Breaking Away, Il Postino (in North Beach, of course) and recent favorites such as Juno and Enchanted to name just a few.

So layer up, arrive early and stake out a good spot. The movie’s about to start. Shhh….

The Scoop:

Film Night in the Park
6 cites and 8 parks.  Films are shown Friday and Saturday evenings at dusk through October 4th. Suggested donation: $6 for adults, $3 for children.
