The kitchen buzzes with activity and tummies are grumbling, it’s time for the real Thanksgiving giving tradition to begin. Park the kids in front of the TV to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade. But once the floats pass by and you’ve dashed the pup around the yard, it’s time for the main event. Snuggle back up on the sofa with your four-legged friend and tune in to the National Dog Show at noon at NBC, the most widely viewed dog show in America.
That’s right. All your favorite breeds and celebrity pup Uno, the first Beagle winner of the Westminster Dog Show will be on paw at the pre-taped show at the Greater Reading Expo Center in Pennsylvania. Watch along with the expected 15,000 fans, 20 million television viewers and host John O’Hurley (Seinfeld actor J. Peterman, but better-known to some as the Dancing with the Stars champ). See over 150 different breeds and varieties among the 1,600 top show dogs competing for Best of Breed, First in Group and Best in Show.
Give thanks for your best friend this season with a relaxing day of pup TV brought to you by The Kennel Club of Philadelphia and Purina. It’s even better than the pumpkin pie.
