We just got Darwin from an adoption center, he is very shy as he has been in the shelter awhile, but has warmed up to us well in just a day. He is a sweetheart and likes to cuddle. He is mutt, we don't know what type of breed he is. He likes to play and sleep!

The first night we brought him home from the Shelter. Such a sweet dog!

Romeo Beau is a 1 year old male Havanese. He loves to shred and get into trouble. No matter what he does, he is spoiled and loved dearly.

Shelby was rescued 7 years ago when she was found wandering in traffic on a busy road. She was very timid and shy. Windy's mother was rescued after she was found dumped on a rural road. She had pups a few days later. Shelby and Windy are best of friends and go everywhere together. They have given us so much joy and love.

Sasha is a Doberador (we think). We fell in love with her as soon as we saw her on the animal rescue website 2 yrs ago. She came with her issues, some dangerous, but our desire to keep her inspired me to take up canine psychology and now she is a happy, balanced, well trained and very loved part of the family.

Zeva is a Border Collie / Lab mix and our company mascot. She has a great personality and has clients coming into the Studio just to see her.

Layla's the light of my life. She's a Basenji (of African heritage), with a bit of Corgi. Not only is Layla my Sato (Puerto Rican wild street/beach dog), she's my Psychiatric Service Dog and a Certified Pet Therapy dog. I'm turning 63. Layla's my first pet (of any kind). It was the will of the Force that I found my best friend Vader at a No-Kill shelter. He's a pitbull (AmStaff), Shepard, Husky mutt (total junkyard dog) and he's the best friend I could ever ask for. Mojo is three years old. He was one of five puppies that were dropped down a mail shoot one night at a rescue site. The people came in to find five small puppies about 5 weeks old. I adopted Mojo in 2008. Since that time he is with me constantly. He is now a registerd Therapy dog and trains at my workout classes.

Henry is a senior barely rescued from a kill shelter then adopted by us. He is a doxie mix with visual/auditory issues but is gentle, mellow and tolerant. Henry loves to eat and follow me everywhere, all day. He's happy in his security & grateful for all signs of love. Henry is the perfect example why senior adoptions rock!

Dora Lee is a puppy mill rescue who spent years stuffed in a cage - now she loves everything about digging and chasing and being free! No squirrel or chipmunk is safe and she digs huge holes after field mice. She is an excellent watch dog but loves her dirt/mulch naps. She's super sweet and loves to cuddle and be held. A joy!

Chewy is a gorgeous Merle Chihuahua. He is so playful and vocal he has already earned himself the nickname Monster. He will talk to you and play with you whenever you let him. He is our newest addition, he has an older brother that is a little camera shy.

Peanut is nearly 13 and incredibly handsome; a gentle, sweet boy who is bravely battling 2 kinds of cancer (lymphoma and a melanoma in his throat). This photo is of him was taken after a chemo and check-up, and as you can see he is ready to drive us home!!

Solly is the true pack character - he wiggles and jiggles when he struts and fears nothing. He loves to spend warm days outside following sunbeams and snoozing but will aid in varmint chasing if absolutely necessary. He patrols the fence perimeter, then rolls in the grass and mulch - but his sofa is his favorite spot.

Rudy Toots loves to play with squeaky tennis balls, no matter the weather - he's been out during snowstorms burying & recovering his prize. He will chase it but can't bother returning it. Rudy also toots/barks at everything, real & imagined! He leads the others in banishing varmints & UPS. He gently licks all our dogs faces.

Charlie Brown is the epitome of the song - he's always into something & gives you the "why's everybody always pickin' on me" look. He's a 7 yr old adopted rescue and he's definitely a clown. He makes me laugh all during each day by his comical actions, and his snoring/napping with legs in the air. Charlie knows doxies rule!

Huckleberry is a 3 year old very spoiled Basset Hound. He is the joy of our life & always finds ways to entertain us. He loves to howl just to look cute. As with all doggies, he is a one of a kind.

All dogs but Belle (Black Frenchie/BT) are rescues. Both Malteese poodles came from the same the home. Coco came to us in July of 2010. Chili came to us December 24. Bogie doesn't play much a little cranky, but all other 3 dogs play tug and chase each other for bones. All our dogs love people. Best dogs ever.

Sarge is a full blooded Shetland Sheep Dog. He always has a BIG smile on his face like in this photo. He loves to play catch with his tennis ball or frisbee and never misses. I believe he was an athlete in another life. He is "Chief Protector" of our family.

CoCo is a 4 yr. old Shi-Poo (shi-tzu/poodle) mixwho was rescued 3-1/2 years ago and though we rescued her she rescued us right back! The comment about stuffed animals not having a "life expectantcy" in your home so stands true in our home...and if it squeaks it dies 10X faster!

Rocky is a 10-year-old Australian Shepard, rescued at 3. He has routinely run 50+ mile weeks with us during our marathon training and carries his own food and water. He has run as far as 25 miles at one time. Rocky's nose lacks pigment and requires sunblock, not his favorite taste.

Shep is the primary stud at AppleYard Kennel in Upstate New York and has sire dozens of beautiful English Shepherd puppies. Both Schooner and Skipper are Vizsla dogs. Schooner is 17 months old and Skipper is 11 months old. Schooner and Skipper are the best of friends. Skipper was a rescue. Schooner is in agility classes and Skipper is in Basic Manners and Obedience Class.

We have 6 wonderful family members with fur, 5 Penbroke Welsh Corgis, and 1 Chihuahua. They bring us so much love and joy in our life.We have a huge yard, agility workouts, balls for the socker team, (LOL) and toys galore! They enjoy life here with us and we sure do worship them.

Pilot is a very sweet little boy except when it comes to moles...he loves hunting for them and usually catches them. He also loves to burrow under the blankets and cuddle...I call him the wienie warmer!!

Oscar aka "little man" aka"the squirrel". Oscar is a miniature dachshund who was adopted by his mommy Kim. His big brother is Higgins who is half black lab/half english springer spaniel. Little Man is friends with Morgan and Blu, two weimaraners who think he is a squirrel and love to play with him.

This is Morgan with her best bud Higgins who is half black lab half english springer spaniel. They met when Higgins was only five months old and they quickly became friends. Morgan lived on the top floor of an apt. and Higgins lived on the bottom and they met playing outside. They have been friends for over 6 yrs and going!

Opie is a Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who came to live with us and be a companion for our three-year-old Tri-color CKCS, Louie. It took just a few days and they were best buddies! Don't know how we ever got along without these "boys" in our lives.

Diddle~Bugg is our tottaly spoiled king of the hill and home. He loves his herd which consists of Me, my husband and most importantly Elizabeth. The two of them can always be found together, usually getting into something they are not supposed to!

Pax is a rescued red tri Australian Shepherd. I believe that he was trapped in a puppy mill for the first year of his life. When picked up as a stray by Animal Control, he was completely unsocialized to humans, places, and virtually all stimuli. He is much better now, but still very easily frightened.

He is a one year old yellow lab and definitely a mama's boy!

Sherman is a Lab mix that came to us as a stray. He's best buddies with Abner the Basset Hound.

While I was working at a veterinarian clinic, a family dropped off a beautiful 5 mo old Australian Shepherd & never returned. She was so sweet and rascally cute, so I decided to give her a home. Today, 5 yrs later, she still wiggles like crazy when she's happy. What a loyal, wonderful dog she turned out to be.

We found Cuna stranded at "Four Corners" (where 4 states meet at 1 point - Colorado, Utah, New Mexico & Arizona=C.U.N.A.!) in the desert.She was a starving, abandoned small Border Collie mix left to die & weighted 22 lbs.We scooped her up. She now has an acre yard and lives in Pittsburgh, PA.We love her!

Baxter was a stray in Los Angelos. He is such a gentleman, and very calm for a chihuahua! He now lives with my son in Maryland and lives in high style with a bed in every room.

Hemingway is a 2 year old cockapoo from New York City. His favorite things are playing ball, chewing bones, stealing clothes out of the hamper, running until he just can't run anymore and snoozing with his kitty room mates. He is the happiest little guy with so much personality. I love him!

Lady Duchess is a Tri-color Shetland Sheepdog now 10 years old. I've had her since she was 7 weeks old. She's very lovable and the sweetest dog you'd wanna own. She can be a bit dominant, but all in all she a joy to own. She loves to flirt with men, and gets along with most dogs. She's the most spoiled dog I've ever owned.

Billy (3), Tucker (2) and Charlene (10) were all my fosters before I adopted them. Charlene came from a puppy mill at the age of 6. Billy was a stray and has some issues, so was unadoptable. Tucker was a private surrender at 10 months old. Tucker is crazy about tennis balls.

Quinn is our Italian Greyhound.. she hates the snow and loves to sleep under the blankets!

Our pooch Ollie is an 11 month old Silky Terrier who enjoys playing fetch, walking on the beach, barking at seagulls and watching the world go by on his perch on the back of the sofa by the open window! He is a very lovable fellow!

Angus lives in San Francisco, California. He is a 6 year old Basenji. He goes to work daily as the mascot of a local printing business and concentrates his efforts on keeping the premises full of smiles and free of pests. On the weekends you can find Angus basking in the sun or herding the neighborhood squirrels.

They are brother and sister but little sister Inky always gets her way. She takes Newman's toys away from him and always starts the play/fight. Newman weights 22 lbs and Inky weights 12 lbs. They are so comical and keeps me entertained for hours. I wish I could be with them 24 hours a day ( not possible). I love them soooo much.

Sofi is a 2 year old poodle mix, who hates having her picture taken. Since her mom is an avid photographer, she gets a lot of pictures taken. Here, she is telling me how much she silently suffers for my sake.

When people say "I wish I was half the person my dog thinks I am" we have to go the other way. Tasha is the kindest, warmest, most open hearted, unconditional, funny, adventurous, undiscriminating, joyful girl and actually we believe she turned us into better human beings! :)

Mattie is a very lucky dog. A few years ago she became paralyzed and her owner, my very good friend, nursed her back to where she is today. She would never have made it had it not been for Sue and all the love and care she gave to her dog, Mattie. She is such a sweet dog. She still loves to play, but it is much harder for her.

Rookie is a 10+ year old Silky Terrier. We adopted him from the shelter just a month ago. He has sooo much energy for his age! He is getting along great with his dog sister Molly. We love him and are so happy he joined our family!

Henry is about an 11 week old labrador retriever, or so we think. He is a Texas transplant now gracing Ohio. We actually adopted Henry from a shelter, he looked up at us with his puppy eyes and we couldn't resisit. He has the sweetest disposition, loves this thing called snow and playing with other dogs in the park.

Our boy Boz came to us from Bridging the Worlds rescue in Santa Fe. He is a ridgeless Rhodesian Ridgeback but his lack of a ridge has not dampened his Ridgeback attitude! We guess he had a pretty rough life as a puppy but those days are behind him now. We can't imagine life without our boy!

Sasha was a very happy girl. Loved life to the maximum. Every day with her was like a brand new day full of fun, with lots of tail wagging and licks. We lost our little girl on November 10, 2010. She had just turned 11 was very healthy and then all went downhill pretty quickly due to cancer. We miss her terribly.

Bella was found a stray wandering the streets of Detroit and was going to be PTS simply for being a pit bull. We gave her a shot spent time training her - now she's close to passing her CGC and will be a therapy dog for a a veteran with PTSD. We're so lucky to have found Bella and are SO VERY PROUD of her.

Regis joined our family 3 1/2 years ago. He is a cattle dog/chow-chow mix and is the most amazing dog! He was rescued from a no kill shelter and was bought for our son's birthday. Regis is truly our best friend. He knows when I am sick, he knows when I am sad and will just lay by me and stick close to me. We are blessed!

Angel is my only girl,who will be 12yrs old in Feb. She is a very sweet girl, but is the boss! My 2 male dogs listen very carefully when she is telling them something. They never ever question her. They just do it! Wish they did the same for me!

Emma was abandoned on our farm. She is a beautiful girl, but as I have 3 dogs already, I had to find her a home. I had help by a wonderful friend, Corinna, who found Emma the best home ever! She is now very happy and has a big shepherd sister!

Daisy is a maltipoo. She loves to spend hours looking out the window keeping a watch on the neighborhood and alerting us to any guests that come to visit with a bark or two. We love her very much.

Colas is now 11years old and still very young at heart. He loves to ride in his bicycle basket on the promenade getting out now and again for a quick trot. He´s the best thing that ever happened to me.

Bon Bon, our Lhasa, turns 3 next week. She just loves to snuggle amongst the pillows on our bed! And whenever we take out the camera, she poses, cocking her head and looking cute!

My girls are both rescues, and my furry children :). Sophie, 3, is a Border Collie mix, and Cooper, 2, is an Akita/ Lab mix. They are best buddies, and the best exercise companions I could ask for. They are famous in our neighborhood for their tandem leash walks. They remind us every day not to forget to play!

Apollo is Zeus' brother (seen here with him) and is almost 9yrs. Rescued from a backyard breeder who didn't want him because he wasn't the perfect looking MinPin, Apollo has a lot of heart and is a very smart and loyal boy. Apollo's favorite things are his daily chew bone and protecting his yard from the squirrels and birds!

Aniya is a 2yr old Blue Nose PitBull. She is fun and rambunctious and still has a lot of puppy in her. She has beautiful pale blue eyes that always twinkle with mischief. She loves everyone she meets and especially loves her brother, CainDaddy.

Solo is a year and a half Blue Nose Pit. He is such a friendly boy and likes everybody. Very laid back, he is a perfect gentleman in the house. His favorite thing is to climb on top of his dog house and lay there surveying the world.

Riley is a 5 year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Loves to hang out by the front door and watch whats going on outside. Loves to play catch with a tennis ball and frisbee. He is very, very spoiled.

Graydog is a senior citizen age 14. He's been the best companion animal since he selected me as his partner 13 years ago. He used to love running beside me when I rode my horse. Now he enjoys a quiet life at home. He enjoys car rides, short walks and meeting new dogs in the neighborhood.

Bernie brought chaos and love to my house. My 14-year old Aussie, Graydog was happy, quiet but ready to have a companion. Bernie make each day a new chapter and adventure. Bernie is a year and a half now. He's very lovable and can act very silly. He's knows how to make me laugh.

Marley is an English Bulldog Boston Terrier mix. She loves to hug and be next to you all the time. She loves to be with people and likes to play with BIG dogs.! Snuggling is her favorite thing to do, and yes, she has to be in bed and under cover!

It's pretty obvious we spoil our dogs by letting them sit on the furniture, but they think they are humans! I'm surprised that at 93 pounds Buster can fit on the arm of the sofa. It is his favorite spot where he can look out the window.

Sophee is a 2 yr old lab/shep mix. She was rescued in NC while I was on Vacation and is now a Therapy Dog. She is the sweetest, most gentle girl and loves everyone.

Mayzee was adopted from our shelter in 2003. She was a wild puppy eating my drip system, sprinklers and really anything she could. She has grown up to be my best friend. She loves to go for rides and she will lay in front of the door if she thinks she might get left behind. She is an amazingly sweet dog that is very loved!

We are together 24/7! We love to play ball and eat carrots! Best of all though is tormenting our 17 year old sister. Don't worry she is a dachshund as well and can hold her own. She is old so she gets chicken and we think it is ok cuz some times we get her leftovers.

Zeus is a 9yr MinPin who is tiny (in size only) for a Miniature Pinscher. He is ery spunky despite knee surgeries on both hind legs in his youth. Zeus' favorite things are his daily chew bone, snuggling under a fleece blanket, me-his mom- and his MinPin brother and sisters (although not in that order!).

I adopted Minnie at 10months through rescue (she had been abused her entire short life). At 7 years now, she has come a long way, from the very frightened, shy girl she was. Minnie doesn't realize she is only 8 inches tall when playing with her MinPin brothers and sister or other dogs. She is really a character and is a joy!

Dolly is an 8yr old Miniature Pinscher. I adopted her through rescue when she was 1 and a half. She had a less than happy life before she came to me. She loves to tell you what she thinks in very vocal terms. Her favorite thing is to snuggle under a fleece blanket with her 3 MinPin brothers and sister.

Cain Daddy is a 7yr red-nose pitpull who should be a poster-dog for well-behaved, socialized pits (dont't blame the breed),and Roscoe is a 2yr chihuahua, who doesn't know he weighs only 3 pounds! They are my grand-doggies and both are rescues and live in Alamosa with my son. They love to wrestle and play tug of war.

The love of my life, Lily is full of personality & attitude. Everywhere we go, Lily is a total star: people stop & interact with her. At 4 pounds, I have actually had people ask me if she is a battery operated dog. She is an extremely intelligent, affectionate, fun & funny little soul wrapped in fur.What a gift she is in my life

After saying goodbye to my last black lab, the best friend I ever had in the world, I really didn't think I'd be up for opening my heart to another pup who looked so much like him. However, I was thankfully wrong! Blaze, has been one real gift, the sweetest, most gentle soul of a pup, who's graced my life for 11 years now.

Sweetest boy around! He came to us as a lost pup 9 years ago, and we fell in love with him, witnessing just how very much he wants to please and be loved! Here he is, at about age 7.

We found her running down the side of a road just inches from fast moving cars and trucks.....so scary.....but we were able to get her up into the bushes where we grabbed her. That's when she was about 4 months old, now she is almost 3 and tons of personality. She is mixed Chihuahua and ??. Love her!

This is Cirrus, my five year old Samoyed. He is a big hiker. He loves nothing better than hiking and playing with his collie girls, Spirit and Fergie.

Spirit is my six year old blue merle collie. She was a rescue but she rescued me in 2007 when I lost my blue girl, Shadow. Chuckie is an 8 year old dachshund. He belonged to my husbands parents and he came to live with us 1 year ago. We have become very attached to him. He loves to lay in his beds following the sun around the room, play with his ball and go for walks and rides in the car.

I gave this little gal her first breath of life, at six months of age my husband gave her to me as a birthday gift. She is now 2 1/2 years old and runs in amatuer oval track racing. In Oct. 2010 she ran in the OB Nationals and took a second place. Most of the time she can be found stretched out on a sofa, a real couch potato!

Jack is a golden doodle. He is a standard. His mom is a black poodle, and his father is a golden retriever. He is kind of shy and doesn't have much self confidence, but when we are calm with him, he will play with you! He loves toys and the outdoors. When we give him walks, he cannot help but tug on the leash; he's excited.

Demi is a sweet and loving Newfoundland that has a heart condition. She is such a sweet sweet girl. She loves relaxing on her fav italian leather chair.

Tucker is a Newfoundland that was rescued and what a big boy he has become. He is very loving and thankful for his rescue, for now he is in a very loving home and shares that home with two other female Newfoundland, Demi and Molly. He says he is a "happy boy"!!

Harley is almost 5 years old and is a tri-color full-breed shetland sheepdog. He's been the love of my life since I pick him out of a litter of 5 puppies. He loves to play ball and frisbee but is frightened of thunder. He has a good command of the english language and has a Good Citizen's Award!

We got Rowdy at 7 wks from a rescue group to be a bro to Aussie, another rescue. This pup lives up to his name, and is the most fun ever! He loves Aussie & the kits and us! We think he has helped Aussie to become a great pet, he loves to play, go with mom, and be a mischief maker! He's my sunshine!

We got Aussie from a bad situation about 3 years ago. He is the most loving and sweet pet! Still a bit leery of strangers, he has made great strides through love and patience! He loves his little bro Rowdy, even though Rowdy can be a pestie! We left his name Aussie since that was all he had known. He is my heart & he's happy!

My boy is a 2-year-old GSD mix adopted from the county animal shelter. He's matured into a strikingly beautiful creature with features that often prompt passersby to ask if he's a wolf hybrid. Shiloh is my nearly 3-year-old Pit Bull/Boxer rescue. I've had her since she was 4 months old, and she's helped me heal and recover through 2 surgeries over the past 2 plus years. I look forward to having many happy, healthy years with my "Princess Golden Eyes".

Molly is six years old. She is the sweetest little girl, but she also has a mind of her own. She has several obedience titles to her name and is working to become a tracking dog too! Her bigger, little "brother" Griffin keeps her busy with his games.

Griffin is four years old. He is a Canadian and International Champion and is working on some obedience titles too. He loves to play with and torment his older "sister" Molly and the 6 cats he lives with. He is a big "Momma's boy" and is never far away from Mom.

Christmas 2006, I was new to the family, and my mom waslooking for a Ricky for her Lucy, but my personality was not so Ricky babaloo, so she named me Ricky Bobby.... but now my personality fits the Latin Ricky to go with Lucy... so we are all happy now.

Morgan is a six year old weimeraner that loves to eat! Her favorite hobby is napping. She allowed our other weimeraner, Blu, to come live with us. She wasn't to sure about him in the beginning but now she is lost if he is not around.

Blu is a fun loving weimeraner that loves to cuddle with his family and is lost if he is not near Morgan our other weimeraner. His favorite treat is Munchbones and he loves to play fetch with any ball!

Davinci will be 2 years old on November 9th. He is quiet the character. I am always told that he is the happiest dog anyone has known. Always happy to see people, dogs, cats, rabbits etc. Smart as a whip, loves to play and do tricks and always seems to understand exactly what is being said even if it isnt to him!

Roo is a two year old Australian Terrier. He has been trained in agility, and Rally O. He has his Canine Citizenship Certificate. He volunteer's for P.A.T.S. and visit's senior's in nursing homes, rest homes, and hospitals. He is a fairly high energy dog and he works out daily on his treadmill. He is a slim trim 17 pounds.

Boston Terrier/French Bulldog Mix. He is very active and very smart.

Jaz is an Australian cattle dog mix rescued by and adopted from the Marin Humane Society. He's 51/2 yr. old and 44lbs. He spends at least two hours a day at his job of retrieving the rubber ball. He lives for the ball. He's also a real sweetie. Loves affection and loves to give it.

Muffy is a Shih Tzu and won as cutest dog in our town.

Romeo is a big teddy bear. He loves to dance and frequently gives hugs and kisses. gracie is our elegant beauty. she's a serious guard dog, but also enjoys kisses.

BabyGirl is my English Bulldog. We just adore her!

Simcha is the Hebrew word for joy and fits my dog perfectly. She is always happy. She loves to lick faces - it makes her day. She is 9 pounds of pure happiness. I never had a dog as an adult until I got Simcha. She has enriched my life!

Gabbies 4th birthday

Trixie is a cross between a corgi and a border collie. She was a stray who was picked up off the street in Arkansas to be euthanized. The vet knew she was special and saved her life by getting her into a humane society. She loves all action and always has energy to burn. Here she is atop Eagle Cliff in New Hampshire.

This grand Pembroke corgi is a rescue from a Nashville city pound, who was on death row. He loves swimming more than anything else, except possibly food. He has the heart and spirit of a dog three times his size. Hank loves mountaineering, canoeing and retrieving, and is undaunted by hikes of several miles.

Gator is a 4 year old Pomeranian who is loved and adored by his mom!

Hey Buddy (middle name -I'm Busy) is a 3 year old Westie ... our first westie. He is an "old soul" ... just wants to hang out with us & chase balls. Bon Bon is a 3 year old Lhasa Apso ... also a first for us. She;s a "new soul" ... everything is new to her. She is simply adorably sweet, very athletic, sleeps on her back.

Riley is a giant Pomeranian, weighing in at almost 15 pounds of pure muscle and bone. He's a happy going guy that enjoys playing fetch and sleeping on his back.

Lobos is very energetic, enthusiastic and loves to run hard, play hard and sleep hard. He loves people, other dogs, and kids. His hobbies are cross country skiing, mud, bird chasing and hide and seek. He is learning to stand up on his hind legs and spin...he loves to learn new tricks...

Lance is Dandie Dinmont Terrier. This photo was taken when he was about 8 months old. He's now four years old. Lance and I are part of the San Francisco SPCA's Animal Assisted Therapy Program. He really enjoys his visits at various hospitals and elderly care facilities.

He's the most wonderful, lovable Chihuahua on the planet. His favorite place is Mommy's lap, loves bringing a ton of his toys to bed and is just adorable. He's a great little watch dog and will protect his Mom at all costs.

Ruth is what we like to call a "Pointador" - half German Shorthair Pointer, half Labrador. She really doesn't watch much TV - much more interested in running in the park and refusing to act her age.

I adopted Joe from the Animal Rescue League of Boston in 2003. He is the most wonderful dog, so it's a wonder why he came to the shelter at all. Joe's interests - Playing with his "babies," eating, fetching, swimming, being adorable and loving, sleeping, and running on the beach. I love him with all my heart!

Shadow is the best doggie ever - I'm so lucky to have him! Shadow likes to go hiking off-leash and to the beach, where he loves to dig! He can dig for 20 minutes straight! Shadow likes belly rubs and to snuggle with me. I'm in love!

Kaleo is a Great Pyrenees who was abandoned in Oklahoma, and eventually was in a no-kill shelter there. He was considered too big to be adopted as a family pet, so was transported to California by Big Dog Rescue in Penngrove, California. He is a neighborhood favorite! (And a great guard dog....)

Morgan is the best combination of sweet 4-legged companion and guard dog. He loves meeting new people and will serenade them with his signature Akita "wooooo". Everyone in the neighborhood knows Morgan from our daily walks. They might not know my name, but they know Morgan's.

Tyson is a 5 year old English Bulldog. He is the most adorable, cuddly bulldog who loves to play in the snow, eat bones and sit on our feet. You would fall in love with him.

Stella is a 2 1/2 year olf Labradoodle. She loves smiling, cuddling, and going for walks.

Lucky is a 3 year old hound mix that I adopted from the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA in San Mateo, CA where I volunteer. He is my first dog and my best friend!

Buster is a fun loving Lab who is way too attached to me. This picture was taken this fall at our camp in Thessalon, Ontario.

It's Halloween and all the kids, grandkids and granddoggies are home for a weekend of fun! Missing from the picture are Dessie & Kimber, a chocolate & black Lab. We all love dogs and we have 2 each, so when the family gets together there are 8 dogs total who love romping together.

Buddy and Winnie are 5 years old and siblings. They have been together since they were born and are inseparable. As you can see they prefer chairs, couches, and beds as opposed to the floor. They are pretty lazy and can spend most of the day lounging around. But they do love their longs walks with their Mom.

Mr. Moe is a 12 year old Shih-Tzu who has the IQ of Einstein...Other than his skin allergies he has the energy of a 2 year old puppy..If you are looking for an intelligent family dog who is great with children; the Shih-Tzu is the breed to own.

Loves to sleep on the couch, or on the bed (or just abouth anywhere)! Nine year old yellow lab. Love him to death!

Bailey is 4 year old miniature Silver Dapple Doxie. He never gets tired of playing, barking, or looking for that crumb of lost food. He's a very smart dog who knows or pretends to know. His favorite word is Squirrel.

Donnagan is a puggle rescue and unusual in he has more of the beagle look than the pug, except for his coloring. Donnagan likes to sleep under the blankets next to Mommy at night and is very sensitive. If he gets scolded, he escapes to his "condo" under the bed.

Brenna is a malti poo mix that we rescued from a puppy mill. The first year, she would have nothing to do with anyone but Mommy, but now she's a regular daddy's girl. Although the smallest of our three, she rules the roost!

Quincey is a pug/chihuahua mix that we rescued 2 years ago. He is the funniest and most laid back dog we've ever had. Quincey loves to go camping and snuggle up with Mommy in the mornings. When the other two dogs are in a bad mood, he's the one who plays and gets them back in a good mood.

Meena is a blue and tan chihuahua. She is very loving and loves to cuddle. She is a very precious addition to my family.
