If you have a dog, you have a Valentine! So we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day for an entire week with tips for sharing and celebrating the love of a dog.
If your home and office is really more of a shrine to your dog, you’re in good company. At Woof Report, our best friends not only boost our happiness but our décor as well. If framed photos, paw print casts, holiday ornaments, and T-shirts featuring your pup’s mug just aren’t enough, we now invite you to enshrine your fridge with his likeness. Or, better yet, your Valentine’s fridge. Why not spread the joy.
Enter super cool do-it-yourself marble magnets. So easy, so cute, and so perfect for Valentine’s Day, these retro chic marble magnets are fun to make (and far less expensive than commissioning a marble bust). There are lots of how-to guides online for this crafty project and we like the one at www.notmartha.org, which has photos and tips for each step.
Here’s all you need:
• 1/2" and 3/4" round (strong) magnets
• 1/2" and 3/4" clear flat glass marbles
• Adhesive glue or silicon sealer
• Your Valentine’s dog pictures, or you can use patterned paper or images from cards or magazines
• A paintbrush or toothpicks to smear the glue
Make your Magnets:
Trim the Pic. Position the marble over the picture and trace around it for a custom fit. Then cut out the picture.
Glue it. Use your paintbrush or toothpick to spread the glue onto the magnet. Place your picture on the magnet and add glue onto the middle of your picture.
Attach the Marble. Lower the marble onto your picture and magnet, press down in the center and you’re done.
Wrap up your magnets in a cute little tin or box for your Valentine.
